Vagrant is the sound of a wanderer returning to his rock roots. An idea whose rejection by the mainstream lead to an endless sojourn, drifting from one philosophy to another, one aesthetic to the next. Every attempt to find a home reminds him why he left the last one. Every attempt to become a part of a group makes him more of a loner, brings his alienation into sharper focus. In the end, the wanderer must accept his fate and embrace the journey.
In other words - John Von Glaubitz is a veteran guitarist and songwriter of the Philly music scene and his bands, past and present, have played some of Philly's top venues and radio stations. Vagrant, his new solo project, combines his multi-instrumental virtuosity and inventive production techniques and adds a new element: a heart-felt, lamenting vocal style. John says of his new sound, "This may not be the best music I've ever written - I'm too close to it to tell - but it's definitely the most personal."
